From the moment after I tried my first cup of Taiwanese tea, I knew it would become a hugely important part of my life.

I am a tea nerd. It’s as simple as that. In 2006, I was inadvertently thrown into the world of Chinese tea. A job turned into a passion and now I’ve turned that passion into Tea Elevated.

I thrive in the mountains of western Colorado with my amazing wife and three phenomenal kids. We take every opportunity to get outside to explore trails and get lost. Whether we’re floating on a lake or standing on top of a mountain, we are undeniably an outdoor family.

While my day job has been as a commercial photographer, I decided it was time to pursue this passion. Tea has been an incredibly important part of my personal life for the last 14 years.

I’ve always felt that I’ve had a rather unique experience with tea and I finally decided it was time to share my knowledge and experience.

My goal is to share the experience of Chinese tea to anyone with an open mind. I serve tea using the contemporarily classic “Gongfu” method. During a tasting session, we’ll discuss the history of tea, how tea is made, and the types of tools used to bring out the best flavors. We’ll sample a few different teas and discuss how and why they are different.
